BabyFly Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. About this policy

BabyFly is an iPhone and iPad app for parents and caregivers to keep private memories of a child’s growth. It is operated by the individual developer of BabyFly ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled in the publicly distributed app and when you contact us.

Privacy contact: sxf987958774@gmail.com

2. Information stored on your device

You may choose to save child profiles, names or nicknames, birth information, life stages, notes, dates, manually entered locations, tags, photos, videos, voice recordings, files, and related events. The app may also save drafts, editing history, recognized text, transcripts, and generated suggestions alongside those records.

This information is stored in the app’s local archive on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your archive. No BabyFly account is required. The current version does not provide BabyFly cloud synchronization, family invitations, or automatic sharing. Assigning a record to a child does not share it with anyone.

The app stores preferences, such as appearance and motion settings, locally. It does not request your GPS location; locations are entered by you. Imported media may contain original metadata, including capture dates or location information already present in the files.

3. Permissions and selected media

Microphone. BabyFly requests microphone access when you choose to record audio or video with sound. Voice recording that you start can continue when you switch apps or lock the screen, until you stop it or the system interrupts it. Recordings are saved in your local archive. You can change microphone permission in your device’s Settings. Denying permission prevents recording but does not prevent you from writing notes.

Camera. BabyFly requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo or record a video. Captures are saved to your local archive and are not automatically added to your system photo library. You can change camera and microphone permissions in Settings.

Photos and files. BabyFly uses system pickers to receive the photos, videos, and files you select. It does not automatically scan your photo library. If selected originals are stored in a cloud service, the system or that service may download them before import. Imported copies are separate from their originals in Photos or other locations.

4. On-device recognition and AI

BabyFly uses Apple’s device frameworks for image text recognition, supported speech transcription, and supported language-model features. In the production app, BabyFly does not upload your archive to our servers or send your records to a third-party cloud AI service.

System models or language assets may require downloads managed by Apple. Availability depends on your device, system version, settings, language, and region. Apple’s own services are governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

Transcripts and generated suggestions may contain errors. They are kept separately from original content, and generated suggestions do not automatically replace your original records. You can review or clear generated results in the app. Core recording and keyword search remain available when language-model features are unavailable.

5. Backups, exports, and sharing you initiate

Your device’s system backups may include BabyFly data, depending on your settings. These backups are managed by you and the relevant system or backup service; they are not BabyFly cloud synchronization.

When you export a complete archive, it includes original media and associated information, including drafts and records in Trash. BabyFly does not separately encrypt the exported archive. The file goes to the destination you choose, which may be another app, a device, or a cloud storage service. That destination’s privacy practices apply. Choose a trusted location and keep exported archives private.

When you make a memory card, BabyFly prepares the selected photo or text and original audio on your device. You review the result before choosing whether to share it through the system share sheet. The destination you select may retain the file; BabyFly does not host a public card link or automatically send the card to others.

We cannot recover a local archive that we do not possess. Keep your own backups to reduce the risk of losing records if your device is lost or the app is deleted.

Restoring a backup creates a separate local archive and leaves your existing archive intact. If you choose the separate Safe Merge action, BabyFly previews the differences and combines selected local archives only after your confirmation. Safe Merge creates a local pre-merge copy; it does not synchronize devices or upload archives to BabyFly.

The local archive may retain source-archive identifiers and random identifiers for permanently deleted records to support future backup reconciliation. These markers do not retain the deleted record’s text or media and are not sent to the developer. They are included in complete archive exports.

6. Advertising, tracking, and analytics

BabyFly does not include advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs, sell your personal information, or track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. The app does not transmit your archive to the developer for analytics.

Apple may separately process App Store, purchase, installation, or diagnostic information under its own privacy practices and your device settings. This does not give us access to the memories stored in your local archive.

7. If you contact support

If you email sxf987958774@gmail.com, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond, investigate your request, and maintain necessary support records. Please avoid sending children’s sensitive information or complete archives unless necessary for a specific support request.

Support messages are handled through email providers, including Gmail for the contact address above. Their infrastructure may process messages outside your country. Support information is retained only as long as reasonably needed to address the request, maintain necessary records, or meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting the same address; information may need to be retained where required by law or to resolve an ongoing dispute.

8. Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them. Moving a record to Trash does not permanently erase it. Use permanent deletion in Trash to remove the record and original files no longer used by another record. Copies outside BabyFly, such as originals in Photos, exported archives, and system backups, must be managed separately.

Deleting the app from your device removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain its data. Deleting local information does not automatically delete copies in backups or other services. Clearing generated results does not delete the original recording or image.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can manage permissions in system Settings, edit your records, clear generated results, export your archive, and permanently delete records through the app. Because we do not receive your local archive, we cannot remotely read, correct, or erase its contents for you.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. For information you have sent to support, contact sxf987958774@gmail.com. Where applicable, you may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s information

BabyFly is intended for adult parents and caregivers, not for children to create accounts or submit information to us. Adults decide what to store about children in their local archive and should only record or share information they are entitled to handle. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support address, contact us so we can review and address it.

11. Security and external services

BabyFly uses the app’s device sandbox and available system protections. Protect your device with a passcode and keep its software updated. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, and exported archives are not separately encrypted by BabyFly.

This policy describes the app and support contact. The server hosting this page may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information, and access time, to deliver and secure the page. Website hosting and any additional website services are subject to the practices of the website operator and hosting provider. This HTML page itself contains no analytics scripts, cookies, forms, or remotely loaded assets.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or its information practices change. The updated version will show a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing materially different processing.

For privacy questions or requests, contact the individual developer of BabyFly at sxf987958774@gmail.com.
